Hero Athletics’ jiu jitsu, kickboxing, boxing and fitness classes are for everyBODY. We don’t limit our classes to skill or physical ability. Based out of North Vancouver, we create a welcoming and inclusive environment and taper our classes and movements so that you can be yourself while feeling brave, challenged and safe so you can let your inner hero shine.
Strike | Boxing & Kickboxing
STRIKE takes a fun approach to traditional boxing and kickboxing while focusing on teaching you the proper punching and kicking technique. We incorporate bag drills, striking drills with a partner, and cardio in this high energy workout. We have STRIKE levels 1-4 to help fine tune and develop skills.
This class is suitable for all levels and is non contact.
Jiu Jits Programs
Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ) combines movement, strategy and defence to create “the gentle martial art”. It will challenge both your body and mind and provide you with instinctive problem solving skills. Our classes follow the IBJJF are open to all levels from beginner to advance and will focus on building fundamentals that will progress to advanced movements.
Kids Jits & Striking Programs
Our kids bjj programs and boxing / kickboxing programs will teach kids and youth the importance of movement and health in a fun, non-intimidating environment. It’s proven that both jiu jitsu and boxing / kickboxing teach kids problem solving skills and help them gain confidence.
Our kids programs are taught in a progressive program and are sutible for ages 4 – 15 years of age.
Women & Teen Girl Classes
Every friday night, from 4pm to close we open up the gym exclusivly to girls, women and those who identify as female.
Our classes include both Jits (Brazillian jiu jitsu) and Strike (boxing & kickboxing). These classes are always empowering and will give you the opportunity to let down your guard and move your body while learning new skills and getting in a workout. All our classes are taught by a female coach.
Condition | Interval Training
This high intensity interval class will have you feeling like a hero as soon as the buzzer goes! This class mixes strength, cardio and agility to provide you with a full body, fun workout. Think sled pushes, battle ropes and slam balls.
This class is suitable for all levels.
Lift | Strength Training
In this strength class we’ll use weights, olympic lifting and body weight movements to build strength and encourage mobility. Extra attention is paid to demonstrating and correcting form and performance. Modifications are provided.
This class is for all levels of fitness.

Our personalized 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 programs are tapered to your goals and current abilities.
